How to keep your whites, bright

White clothes look great but they are not easy to take care of. If you are struggling to keep your whites bright, keep reading, we've got you covered.

1. Wash whites in small loads

To get through laundry day you may be tempted to put as much clothes as possible into the laundry to save time. By doing this, you will be making your clothes dingy. This is because the more clothes you put into the laundry the more dirt will be released into the water. With this dirt in the water, it will actually be redeposited back into clothes. So the next time you think about packing your washer, think again- your clothes will thank you later.

2. Use lemon juice to brighten your whites

Sometimes your clothes will need a little brightening. If you are looking for a natural whitening agent, mix a half cup of lemon juice with the hottest water possible for the fabric being washed. Soak clothes in the clothes in the mixture for a minimum of an hour or up to overnight. Wash the next day.

3. Try borax or vinegar

Add 1/4 cup of vinegar to your whites the next time you do laundry. Another household item that can leave your whites sparkling is borax. Borax softens hard water, removes residue, and boosts the quality of detergent. It’s also all-natural and safe to use.
